Museum of Austrian Embroidery, July 2010

Commissioned to look into the vast collection of pattern books, samples, and technological artifacts of the Museum of Austrian Embroidery in order to develop a new concept for the display of its holdings, education of visitors, exchange with other cultural institutions, and active involvement of the local population, we recently kick-started the process of crafting an integrated educational complex, ranging from the permanent display of the collection to the temporal incarnation of an exhibition format.

Sansibar to be seen in Vienna

New Frontiers is an exhibition that comprises a total number of 28 works by emerging architectural and artistic practices from Slovakia and Austria and aims at fostering the cross-pollination of fresh ideas in the fields of Urban Planning, Architecture and Art.

After its first incarnation recently took place in Bratislava the exhibition is due to continue at the Zumtobel Lichtforum, Jasomirgottstraße 3-5, 1010 Vienna.

With the opening to take place on Saturday, May 28 2010 at 16:00h, the show is on display from May 29 through to June 25 2010.

We cordially invite to the commemoration service and unveiling of our memorial to the victims of the Mauthausen satellite camp in St. Aegyd am Neuwalde, Lower Austria. The ceremony is to take place on Mai 7 2010, starting at 6pm at the Kulturhaus St. Aegyd, and to be continued at 7:15pm with a silent protest to the memorial in the presence of eye witness Rajmund Pajer. The initiative has been taken by the newly established commemoration society GISTA thanks to the effort and commitment of historian Christian Rabl.
